Larch Forest - Montana, USA

I captured this photograph many years ago while crossing the Continental Divide in Montana during a multi-week road trip through the Pacific Northwest and Canada. It was late November, and the weather changed drastically along the way - from crisp autumn air to sudden winter storms. I was snowed in for a day in Yellowstone National Park, and just before that, I had attempted to cross the main mountain pass in Glacier National Park, which was already closed for the season.

Taking the long way around, I came upon this vast forest of larch trees stretching toward the horizon. I pulled over on the side of the road, launched my drone, and captured this moment - the first image I ever turned into wall art. It has hung on my wall ever since.
